Health Care Human Resources Management It used to be that human resource was only thought of as the department who hires employees and safe keeps the clerical part of the organization. Human Resource is much more involved in the entire structure of the organization then just the clerical part of it. Human Resource Management (HRM) is the term used to describe formal systems devised for the management of people within an organization. The HRM department is responsible for three major areas including staffing, employee compensation and benefits and defining and designing work. As a freshman in college it is normal to have the â€Å"blues† or become homesick. More than likely you’re away from home and out on your own for the first time in your life. Therefore it is okay to feel sad or out of place from time to time. Lately, however, these blues have manifested themselves and turned into to full blown depression. The number of freshmen dealing with depression is steadily rising with each set of incoming freshmen. According to the American College Health Association (ACHA), the percentage of college students diagnosed with depression has increased 56 percent in the last six years. Carl Von Clausewitz, author of On War, said that war is the extension of politic. The South had long making threat that they would secede if the country elected the Lincoln as President. The North dismissed them. After all, the Southerners had been talking secession for the last 40 years since the 1820 Missouri Compromise. Too many cry wolves. Meanwhile, the South thought that the North wouldnt fight. I could wipe all the blood with my handkerchief proclaimed Leroy Walker, who later served as the first Confederate Secretary of War. They are shopkeepers and factory workers. What do they know about soldiering? The South believed that one southerner could easily beat 10 Yankees.
